How to Mix and Match Cushion Patterns and Textures

The good news is that there are a few simple rules that make pattern mixing feel intentional and effortlessly stylish — and once you know them, you'll never look at a plain sofa the same way again.

Start with a Colour Palette

When every cushion — regardless of its pattern — shares at least one of those colours, the overall look feels cohesive rather than cluttered. Warm neutrals like stone, sand, and blush work beautifully together and give you enormous flexibility with pattern.
